Ancient Authors
CiceroCicero proved to be a reliable source as he also provided detailed descriptions of the brothers. He also seemed bias as he expresses through his passages a favouable view towards the Gracchi and sheds a rather negative view of the Senate. |
Plutarch
As a Primary Source, the ancient writer Plutarch proved to be a very relevant source as he described Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus in such great detail.
He clearly assesses the relationship between the brothers but there is an obvious bias tone evident in the descriptions. Plutarch proves to favour the actions of the brothers, especially of Tiberius, through his language. Overall, I think that Plutarch's point of view is still of relevance even though his own personal thoughts seep through |
Modern Authors
Koutsoukis proves very valuable as his accounts are very factual and reliable as it displays information similar to the information already researched, showing.
Koutsoukis has very good information on the early lives of the Gracchi brothers and which was verified by other sources. |
Pamela Bradly
The reconstruction of fragments of information by Pamela Bradly proved to be relevant, focused information. The accounts that Bradly used of the Gracchi though, arnt very sympathetic from the primary sources she used of Sempronius Asellio and C. Fannius. Cicerio, Appian and Plutarch were constantly cited throughout the passesges she wrote.
Since all the information was relevant and provided excellent primary sources, Pamela Bradly was the modern author I used the most of I n the last questions of this assessment, because the information proved to be very reliable. |
